Ron has been in the real estate business since 2005 and has been very successful. He became a real estate broker in 2007 and opened Wedowee Lake & Lands Realty, LLC. in 2009, which now is one of top selling companies around Lake Wedowee. Ron has mainly sold recreational properties, but has always dealt in local homes, farms, and acreage.
Ron attended the distinguished Nashville Auction School in late 2014. Has attended the advanced bid-calling summit hosted by instructors who are world champion bid callers from all over the country. Ron has completed his apprenticeship under two different auctioneers and has learned the auction business in and out. Both of Ron’s sponsors took time in sharing their knowledge with him. Phil Stewart is the sponsor Ron worked under the longest, and he gave him a huge opportunity that helped guide Ron in the ways of handling, managing and making an auction successful. “There is a lot more to running a successful auction than having a mailing list and being able to talk fast.” Ron says. It takes business knowledge and knowledge of marketing in general to get the most buyers in front of the auction block. The more buyers, the more competition, the higher the price. Ron has learned many different ways to market over the years and the most productive ways to market locally. Marketing is always changing, as does technology. He says. “You have to be committed to continuing to change and evolve your marketing strategies or get left behind.”
Ron has always been ethical and honest in his dealings. The auction business is no different. He has been a member of the Nation Association of Realtors for years and is a member of the Alabama Association of Auctioneers to further pledge his commitment to ethical and honest behavior in all business he pursues.
